UKRAINE EVACUATION FUND

$186,892 raised of $300,000 goal

Evacuating civilians
from war zone hotspots

Right now, the most urgent need in Ukraine is evacuating civilians from war zone hotspots. As the war drags on, every person evacuated from a hotspot is a potential life saved.

We partner with volunteer-run evacuation networks on the ground with fleets of mini-buses that run evacuation routes daily. Despite the significant risks, Ukrainian volunteers are evacuating people to safety. Tragically, there have been drivers and evacuees lost in the process. We must move quickly to save more lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is my donation going?

100% of donations are sent directly to known and vetted local evacuation networks to purchase vehicles and maintain fleet operations (fuel, repairs, driver expenses, loading humanitarian aid).

  • Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, all donations are through House of Bread Church (EIN 34-2057765), a registered 501(c)(3), and are 100% tax-deductible.

  • What happens to the vehicles after they are no longer needed for evacuations?

They will be allocated to the most urgent need, sometimes to the same groups doing evacuation.  Many of them did non-profit or church humanitarian work before the war.  Vehicles going to individuals heading into extremely dangerous zones will occasionally be donated immediately.
