Detailed Program
You are about to embark on a journey to Israel, the land where the Bible was born. We invite you to visit the land of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to walk in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ. The heart of every believer goes out to this land of Israel's prophets: Moses, the psalmist David, and the wise Solomon. Here you will see the Garden of Gethsemane, the Sea of Galilee, the Temple in Jerusalem, the road of suffering leading to Calvary, and the place of our Lord's resurrection. Here, the pages of the Bible come alive before your eyes.
"Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me and bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your abodes." [Psalm 43:3].
Day 1.
We fly to the Promised Land with a prayer for blessing.
Day 2.
We are met at Tel Aviv airport. We transfer to Nazareth - the city where the Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary, announcing that she would give birth to the Savior of all mankind. Here the Word became flesh. On this site stands the Basilica of the Annunciation, whose huge dome carefully preserves the remains of ancient churches. Overnight accommodations at the Golden Crown Nazareth Hotel. This day is our first encounter with the land walked by Moses, the prophets, and Christ Himself.
Day 3.
After breakfast, we begin to explore this ancient land promised by God to the descendants of Abraham. We visit Caesarea - a port city built by King Herod. We will see the oldest theater in the country, a hippodrome, Roman baths, and much more. Here, the apostle Peter preached the good news in the house of the Roman centurion Cornelius and witnessed for the first time that salvation was given to the Gentiles. Leaving Caesarea, we ascend Mount Carmel. This place is associated with the story of the prophet Elijah and his confrontation with the pagan priests of Baal. From here we take a breathtaking view of the Valley of Armageddon, where, according to the book of Revelation, the final battle between good and evil will take place. Our path then leads to Nazareth. We will see the Mount where religious leaders wanted to throw Jesus off. After the tour, we return for dinner and stay overnight at the Golden Crown Nazareth Hotel.
Day 4.
Today we will go to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" [Matthew 5:3], and we will also see Tabgha - the place of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. Then we will stop in Capernaum: "And they went into Capernaum; and soon on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught." [Mark 1:21]. We will visit this ancient synagogue, where He preached and called His first disciples. We will take a boat ride on the waters of the holy Sea of Galilee. We will also see Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus asked His disciples who they thought He was: "Simon Peter answered, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." [Matthew 15:16]. We will return for dinner and overnight stay at the Golden Crown Nazareth Hotel.
Day 5.
After breakfast, we leave the hotel and embark on an adventure-filled journey. We travel south along the Jordan River valley. We discover the oldest city in the world - Jericho. We will climb Mount Quarantal, the place where Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil after a forty-day fast. Then we will visit Bethabara. Here, as the Holy Scriptures say, the 12 tribes of Israel crossed the Jordan River and entered the Promised Land. At this place, John the Baptist served Jesus Christ. Next, we will see the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, where David hid from Saul's persecution. In one of the caves in Ein Gedi, David saved the king's life, where he had gone without any protection. We will descend to the lowest point on earth - 420 meters below sea level, to the Dead Sea. Here you can relax, immerse yourself in the waters of the unique Dead Sea, and feel weightless, basking in the warm rays of the Israeli sun. The waters of the Dead Sea have long been famous for their healing properties. This is also due to the unique climatic characteristics of this place. We will spend the night at the David Dead Sea Hotel.
Day 6.
Rest on the Dead Sea. This day falls on the holiday of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) - in Judaism, this is a day of judgment and redemption. This is the only day of the year when the Torah commands a person not to engage in anything except for analyzing their actions and thoughts. In ancient times, when the Temple still stood in Jerusalem, on the Day of Atonement, the high priest performed a ritual of purification, after which he entered the Temple and prepared a sacrifice for slaughter, offering it in atonement for the sins of all the people of Israel. On the day of this important holiday, senior pastor Eduard Kislyanka will hold a service for our group! Overnight stay at the David Dead Sea Hotel.
Day 7.
In the morning, we relax at the Dead Sea, and then a very important moment for us comes – we ascend to Jerusalem: "Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished" [Luke 18:31]. Many great words have been spoken about this eternal city, "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill! If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth" [Psalm 137:5-6].
We are about to embark on an exciting journey through the ages, into the old city. We will approach the Western Wall, where everyone will have the opportunity to offer a prayer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and our Lord Jesus Christ. The Wailing Wall is the holiest place for Jews. Already in the first centuries after the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, it became a place of prayer where Jews mourn the destruction of the Temple and pray to God for the revival of the people of Israel in their land. The Wall has become a place symbolizing Israel's past greatness and its hopes for the future. Religious Jews all over the world pray towards Israel, Jews in Israel pray towards Jerusalem, and Jews in Jerusalem pray towards the Western Wall. We will visit Mount Zion and the biblical city of David - the birthplace of Jerusalem. It was here that King David founded his state. After conquering the Jebusite city, King David expanded it to the north and included the peak of Mount Zion (Temple Mount), where Solomon built the Jerusalem Temple. We will see the ancient tunnel of King Hezekiah, through which water still flows today. Overnight stay in Jerusalem at the Ramada Jerusalem Hotel.
Day 8.
We will visit Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. Here, Mary met with righteous Elizabeth several days after the Annunciation [Luke 1:39-56]. According to the Gospel, Mary lived in the house of Zacharias and Elizabeth for about three months before returning to Nazareth shortly before the birth of John the Baptist. Then, we will visit Bethlehem, the city of the Nativity. On the way to Bethlehem, Rachel, the beloved wife of the patriarch Isaac, was buried. Her tomb is still a place of mass pilgrimage for Jews today. In Bethlehem, King David was born and anointed as king. The most important event in Bethlehem's history was the birth of Jesus Christ. We will see the field of shepherds, where angels announced the joyful news of the Savior's coming. The center of the city is the Basilica of the Nativity, built on the site of Christ's birth. Then we will go to Hebron, where the history of the Jews began. Here, Abraham came and settled near Mamre Grove with his wife Sarah. The most famous historical site in Hebron is the Cave of the Patriarchs, Machpelah, which is a Jewish shrine. Biblical patriarchs and their wives, including Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, and Jacob and Leah, are buried here. Overnight stay at Ramada Jerusalem Hotel.
Day 9.
Today from the top of the Mount of Olives, we will see hills and valleys with ancient tombs. There, in the distance, is Mount Zion, further on is the Upper Room of the Last Supper, and a little further away is the Valley of Jehoshaphat with ancient tombs. "And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." [Luke 11:2] Here, he pronounced this prayer and mourned the future destruction of Jerusalem and its inhabitants. At the foot of the mountain in the Garden of Gethsemane, he prayed before the beginning of his suffering. We will visit the house of the high priest Caiaphas, where Jesus suffered and where the apostle Peter denied the Savior. We will continue our journey through the amazing Old City of Jerusalem. We will see the pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralyzed man and where an angel occasionally came down and stirred the water. We will walk the Via Dolorosa, the path that Jesus took to the cross. We will contemplate Golgotha, where his precious blood was shed. We will approach the empty tomb - it is empty because Christ is risen and lives in each one of us! Next to Golgotha, near the empty tomb of the Lord, where people feel the extraordinary grace of God, we will break bread. This will be a special day in the unforgettable city of Jerusalem, where the words of the Lord will resonate with us with renewed power. Overnight stay in Jerusalem at the Ramada Jerusalem Hotel.
Day 10.
Return home. The extraordinary journey is coming to an end, but the unforgettable impressions of what we have seen and experienced will stay with us forever. The Lord has given us a wonderful opportunity to touch His land.
